Welcome to the new site! The title you see above is the default WordPress statement, but I thought it would be a fun standard for my first real blog post.
I’m sure you’d like to know offhand: what is this site for? I purchased the hartr.net domain last year on a lark after discovering the disgustingly high price of the site that had my name spelled correctly. Plus, this makes my name more pronounceable in countries that are not English-native. That’s my hypothetical silver lining here.
The plan to use this site to give depth and quality to my digital footprint. The former iteration of this site, still visible at http://cv.hartr.net, was essentially an HTML sticker slapped on top of an NGINX security gateway that was never opened featuring a couple of links to my email and social media presences. But this is something more extensive.
Having seen the nightmarish security violations that our corporate overlords perpetrate against us on a daily basis, I was hoping to utilize this platform to inform and alert the public to the things that I hope they are concerned enough to read. While I don’t claim to be any sort of guru on the topic of digital security, I do practice it for a living and am aware that it applies to all of us.
Please stay posted for updates. Please feel free to drop me a line via the old link posted above if you have any questions that you feel I could answer.
As always, stay safe out there.
